BHS Cross Country summer workouts week 7

We have four full weeks until the season officially starts. If you have not yet been coming out to the group workouts, now is the time to get started – the first race is 40 days away. Remember – bring a friend – its easier when you have someone to run with.

Its also important to point out for our newest runners, that cross country is a NO CUT sport, and EVERYBODY, competes in EVERY MEET. No one sits on the bench and so every race you have a chance to improve and run faster than your last race. It’s also very objective, varsity selection is based on time (not favorites!)

This weeks plan
Monday – 40 to 55 mins easy running plus 4X100m Strides
Tuesday – Group Workout – 5:30pm- Shiffler park
Wednesday – 40 to 55 mins easy running plus 4X100m Strides
Thursday – Group Workout – 5:30pm – Meet at the BHS Track
Friday – Rest day
Saturday – Long Run – 55 to 80 mins depending on fitness
Sunday – Rest Day
