BHS - Cross Country - Summer workouts week 6 - Reminder

Reminder – Thursday workout will be at the Southridge High school track. Access the track from the Conestoga Reck Center side of the HS.

Its going to be warm this week, so hydration is going to be more important than ever. As we are ramping up the work its also vital that you are all fueling correctly. The workouts and the weekly running will increase between now and the start of the season and i want to make sure that all athletes are in the habit of getting enough calories on board each day so that you have the furl to run and so that you can adequately recover each day.
If you have been on the team in the past, its time to start prioritizing practice group workouts. The season starts in 34 days!!
If our temps get too high we may have to push back practice times, or host a practice in the early morning.
The plan this week:
Monday – 35 to 50 mins of easy running plus 4 × 75m strides
Tuesday – group workout – 5:30pm @ Shiffler park
Wednesday – 35 to 50 mins of easy running plus 4 × 75m strides
Thursday – group workout 5:30 @ SOUTHRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK. (we don’t have access to BHS while they replace the turf)
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Long run day – 50 to 75 mins depending on fitness
Sunday – rest day
Remember – if you can bring along a friend to practice it makes things easier!!
